Stone Canin & Furnace

Stone Cabin & Iron Furnace

The stone cabin was built in 1928 and was originally a Boy Scout Cabin.  The Mount Vernon Furnace grounds are open all year long and we have picnic tables for you to enjoy our grounds.  Our Iron Furnace was built in 1801 by Issac Meason.  Our Cabin is open the 1st Saturday of the month (March - November) from 10AM to 2PM.  We encourage you to come and enjoy our artifacts, old photos, books, and research materials.  We also have a gift shop full of unique items located inside the Stone Cabin.
